2011-05-08 | Julie | My crew and I go here often. Its nice in the Center where Joes Playland is, if you like all that classic fun. Its a pity growing up here and seeing places around it change. [The older version of] Joes Playland is still around and a great place to hang. (Some of the prizes are pretty awesome as well. Not like the newer Joes Playland across the street thats all mainstream.) |
2010-06-30 | Dave | Didn't there used to be arcades all over the place at Salisbury Beach. I remember being there once like 15 years ago and I remember there was this strip where it seemed like there were nothing but video arcades. Is there only one arcade in salisbury now???? |
2008-07-02 | Zach | Well, I finally had the chance to check this place out over the past weekend. There are tons of classic games there which are currently not yet listed here. I sent the owner of this site an updated list, so hopefully he'll get around to posting it soon. As for the quality of the arcade, it's actually quite good. Not in the same league as Funspot (then again, what arcade is?), but it's a good way to kill a couple hours. Most of the classics work perfectly, but there are a few problems. First, the DK Junior has a monitor that's so screwed up I didn't dare try it. The same applies to Phoenix. Secondly, some games like Vs. Super Mario Bros. were shut off. Lastly, the Operation Thunderbolt had no picture, but the sound was still working! Otherwise, this arcade is just fine. It should also be mentioned that some games have multiples, like Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Q*Bert, Tetris, Centipede, and Vs. Super Mario Bros. |

2003-02-15 | Zachary Carey | When I visted this place in November, I noticed that they had more games than what is on the current list. They have Donkey Kong Junior, Super Pac-Man, WWF Superstars, WWF Wrestlefest, The Simpsons, Pole Position, Track and Field, Q*Bert, Elevator Action, Centipede, Millipede, NARC, Pac-Man, Robotron 2084, Tetris, Tron, Trog, and some other classics that I can't remember. They have two floors of games. The first has mostly new games, a few classics, and redemption games. The second has nothing but classic games except for Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter 2, and some air hockey tables. When I go back there this summer, I'll see what else they have there. |
