2014-11-21Wile E. CoyoteThe Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga machine also has Pac-Man as a hidden bonus game. The code is up 3x, down 3x, left, right, left, right, left (using the joystick on the "press start screen").
2013-08-22Chris8-22-2013 We stayed at South of The Border again this year and the arcade is the same when it comes to classic games. There are two Class of 81 Ms.Pacman &Galaga Machines, one looks playable, and one does not look that good based on the monitor, plus there was a Simpsons Game that looked playable. Also in the ice cream parlor at SOB there are the two same games from last year that look very playable,Robo Cop & Superman.
2012-08-22Chris8/22/12 We were at South of the Border last Friday, and at the place where you buy ice cream treats, there are two retro games, one is Superman and Robo Cop.I did not play them, however they seem to work just fine, and the main arcade they still have two class of 1981 Ms.Pacman and Galaga games, they both need some work even though they are playable.
2011-11-13HoneysuckleLearning a ton from these neat arctiles.
2009-01-27cphWe stopped here on a long drive between Washington DC and Florida. I checked out the arcade. Mostly skee-ball and token redemption games. They did have the two classic games (a Pac Man-Galaga combo) mentioned earlier, and one other one. Didn't seem to be too many people in there either, although this might be because of the slow season (January) Most of this part of South Carolina seems to be about selling fireworks (illegal in many other states along I-95)
2005-07-18ABRSouth of the Border (aka Pedro Land) is a cheesy tourist trap on I-95 right on the border of North Carolina and South Carolina. This place is really run down and the machines in the arcades are really beat up. What's more is that the arcades are not being utilized to their full potential (lotsa empty space). There is a Class of 1981 machine located in the Monte Carlo Arcade. Monte Carlo is on the left side of the street if coming from I-95, and El Toro arcade is on the right. There might have been a Class of 1981 in the El Toro arcade, I can't remember. Silver arcade is closed.
